Twitter in your Business? By: Greg Round, Monday 15 June 2009

Twitter/Face book and your business.......

Any new avenues to draw potential customers to your Website must be good news
- if it is free EVEN BETTER!

Most of us in the business world would probably shy away from the Social networking sites such as Face Book or Twitter because of all the media hype harping on about the negative situations that can happen with those types of open forums.
However, have you ever thought that all of those Twitterers and Face Bookers are still all potential customers that are open to some form of communication by definition, purely because they are on these sites in the first place.

Sure there is a lot of rubbish that gets posted there, but there are genuine links to be gained utilizing the on-site search facilities.
Posting messages of a business nature lets people know that you know what you are talking about. And they can comment if they wish , which is not as scary as one would think.

Post your web address regularly and have the address on the profile , this way every contact will potentially be able to view your company or product.
Potentially millions of hits for free to your site- granted not all these people are your target market but in many aspects of marketing it is a numbers game and getting say a 5% viewer success rate out of tens of thousands of hits is better than 5% of a few hundred hits- right!

Even, as mentioned in my last blog , Robert Kiyosaki , author of "Rich Dad, Poor Dad"- spends some of his valuable time posting Twitter updates regularly.
This keeps his brand out there and constantly tells people what's new (in an informal way), so if they wish to look further into his site, they can.
Happy Twittering - should you go there!
